Cinneah El-Amin is passionate about making personal finance, travel, and innovation inclusive for the historically underrepresented.
Cinneah brings years of experience in product management and product development at American Express, leading the development and launch of several high-profile consumer credit card refreshes like the American Express Delta portfolio (2020), American Express® Green Card (2019), and American Express® Gold Card (2018), improving the customer experience for millions of card members. She engages teams on concept development, technical prioritization, and feasibility assessment to ensure flawless design and execution. Some of the highlights of her projects to date include launching the first ever Rose Gold metal card and delivering the first American Express product with a paperless digital application experience, saving tens of thousands of sheets of paper per month.
Cinneah is the Founder of Flynanced.com – a blog at the intersection of financial freedom and travel. As a seasoned traveler to nearly 30 countries across 6 continents, Cinneah created Flynanced® to inspire readers to build wealth and see the world on their terms. She documents how to plan, save, and strategize for international travel without accruing unnecessary debt.
In her community, Cinneah serves as Board Treasurer for the Black Alumni Council of Columbia University and is an incoming Chair for the Alumnae Association of Barnard College. Cinneah earned her M.S. in Management (beta gamma sigma) from Wake Forest University School of Business, where she was the 2017 American Express Corporate Fellow. She earned her B.A. (cum laude) from Barnard College of Columbia University.
