Marcus A. Curtis, Chief Operations Officer at MedWell Solutions, is a New York native, who’s passionate about a future that will integrate technology into our everyday lives. His early career started out serving four active-duty years in the U.S. Air Force. Following an Honorable discharge, Marcus began his studies at Rutgers University, alongside the Director of the Center for Communication and Health Issues—one of the first research groups in the nation to study the role of communication in college students’ alcohol use and abuse.
After completing his Masters at New York University in Healthcare Administration and Corporate Communications, he moved to Dallas, TX, where he currently resides. Marcus’s background as a public relations consultant with Stanton PRM—leading engagements across a variety of industries and business sectors—provided him with practical resources to help MedWell targeting larger health organizations, physicians, and surgical centers to increase the organization’s customer base quickly.
In 2019, he devised a blockchain-ready orthopedic implant tracking database (BODi™) to reduce hospital cost and waste, manage recalls, and adhere to FDA regulatory compliance guidelines. Months after the completion of the project, he was able to present and contract the solution with one of Dallas’ major hospital systems, UTSW, for 2.5 million dollars. The solution immediately gained the interest of more notable hospitals such as Methodist, Grady, and Kaiser Permanente. Today, Marcus leads all operations within MedWell Solutions.
In his spare time, Marcus enjoys exercising, playing basketball, traveling, reading, spending time with his family and loved ones.
