Aaron started his career in tech working at an Internet Service Provider designing websites and installing internet software on computers that couldn’t handle the modem and the mouse being used at the same time. From there, he went on to work at other internet startups and large corporations eventually ending up in finance working for various banks and hedge funds and eventually landed at Bloomberg.
Aaron first started at Bloomberg in 2010 and worked for 5 years on the Equity Screening efforts. In that role, he led several enhancements to the Equity Back testing suite, improving performance of backend screening services such as eqnxsvc and also built a testing framework for Equities. Then he worked at a startup for two years where he worked in various capacities – development, release engineering, machine management, compiler management, finally becoming a team manager and director of SRE.
After re-joining Bloomberg Equites last year, Aaron has been working in the Equity Analytics Framework group, working on standardizing the JaaS pipelines and working closely with Automation & Systems infrastructure teams to drive adoption of FML and BCC machines.
