Working for AT&T with 20+ years of experience in HR and Operations, DeWanda Ricks is a results-focused leader who delivers on coaching and development, and solutions that help companies harness the full power of one of their most valuable assets – their people. As the COO of The NETwork since 2022, she is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture that promotes growth and by empowering the employees to bring their most powerful self to work.
DeWanda Ricks, known to be a trailblazer with a heart of gold, shows her passion and love for the youth whenever possible. Knowing that there is a great need for positive influences in the community. DeWanda’ s personal mission is to help develop the hearts and minds of school aged students by simply volunteering her time and being an advocate for inspiring their futures.
This multi award winner has received such prestigious awards as the President Volunteer Service Award every year since 2011. She won the Community Extraordinary Award in 2012 and earned the Community Transformer Award in 2017, and the Think Tank Award in 2018. In 2020, DeWanda won the Women of Color STEM Award.
DeWanda Ricks is a proud alum of Wayne State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting, as well as the University of Phoenix, where she earned her master’s degree in Human Resources.
