Jonette Howell hails from St. Croix, USVI and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering and a Master of Science (M.S.E.) in Industrial & Systems Engineering both from the University of Michigan. She currently works at General Motors in the field of software development management as a SAFe Program Consultant and Agile Coach. She is the founder of the Due North Scholarship dedicated to giving back to St. Croix seniors who strive to earn a college degree in a STEM field. In her spare time, she runs a mentor program for the Michigan Council for Women in Technology affecting the lives of over 360 women and is a committee member for the Agile Alliance – Agile in Color organization dedicated to incorporating people of color in the agile community.
