Loren McCray is a powerhouse brand strategist with a formidable track record leading global iconic brands in redefining the landscape of success— where purpose and positive impact transcend profits. She is a strategic force, combining coaching, connectivity, and communication to drive transformative purpose-driven brand strategies. Currently, Loren serves as the Global Digital Innovation Lead at Shell, leading an integrated global portfolio of products and services. She is responsible for delivering a digital strategic footprint across emerging renewable solutions amidst the current transition to clean energy.
When she is not mobilizing the world’s most recognized brand to deliver climate solutions, she is serving as managing principal at McCray Consulting (Mc2). At the firm, Loren offers marketing brand strategies to enterprises, executives and entrepreneurs, guiding them to their ultimate potential by elevating what is possible.
Coupled with her professional career, Loren has an unwavering personal passion for the progression of her community. She has served in various organizations and leadership positions, including Rice University Graduate Council Advisory Board, Houston Lawndale Contemporary Art Center board member, American Association of Blacks in Energy board member, board member for National Black MBA, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Girl Scouts of America Troop, 2101 leader.
Loren received her MBA from Rice University and BBA from Emory University. She was a pioneer with the Rice Board Fellows Program, and has received many astounding rewards and accolades including Top 50 Black Professionals & Entrepreneurs in Texas, National Black MBA Member of the Year, Who’s Who of America, and led the most Black Girl Scouts in the Council to achieve their Gold Award.
This cultural curator and successful business leader continues to test the boundaries of her skills and passion by launching My Sister’s Keeper (MSK) with her sister, Jeannae Sims. MSK serves as a platform that seeks to bring audaciously ambitious women together to celebrate, encourage, and share their life journeys as ‘Sisters Helping Inspire Profound Solidarity.’
Loren resides in Third Ward and is a long-time member of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, where she serves as a current board trustee. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, volunteering, swimming, and reading. As she writes the next chapter of her life, Loren aspires to continue her life trend of leaving a legacy, approaching each day by making an indelible mark. Her fortitude is invaluable, and Loren stands firm, facing the future with focus and faith.
