Kimberly D. Brown is a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft, where she leads healthcare programs for the Health Alliance Innovation Team. In her current role, she is focused on helping customers use Microsoft technology and services to transform their healthcare business as well as helping to bring new Microsoft solutions to market.
Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida A&M University. She also completed her Master of Business Administration degree at Illinois Institute of Technology and holds certificates in Healthcare Administration and Pharmacoepidemiology. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2019, she worked at such companies as Lucent Technologies, Walgreens, McKesson, MEDHOST, MedAvail, and GE Healthcare in a variety of technical and management positions. Kimberly has also been a certified project management professional since 2014.
In her spare time, Kimberly volunteers with high schools to talk to students about technology topics to inspire the next generation of technologists. She is also the co-founder of Technology Healthcare Information Sister (THiSister) networking group where she connect with other women of color to share knowledge and information related to different healthcare and technology topics.
Kimberly currently resides in Chicago, and is an active member in her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. She enjoys reading, gardening, golfing, working out and spending time with family and friends. Kimberly is also the owner of Brown Sugar Designs, a company specializing in bath and body products and customized gifts.
